Tamil language teaching began in Madison in 2003. With the enthusiasm and dedicated effort from the Tamil loving people, teaching continues to this day.

What started with a few volunteers has blossomed into a federally recognized public charity by the name Kalam Tamil Center (KTC). Our primary mission continues to be to serve as a formal Tamil school for the Madison community.

KTC admits students from Mazhalai to Nilai 5. Students should be 5 years old or older to get admitted to the school. KTC generally follows the Madison Metropolitan School District’s school year for the beginning and end of its school year. Classes are conducted every Sunday from 3:25 pm to 4:40 pm at the following address:
